The amoury

The last room in the east side of the barracks was the Fort’s armoury; inside and in the corridor, in front of its entrance, two lengthy armracks kept the garrison’s soldiers’ rifles in perfect order.

The troops’ dormitory

The whole west side of the barracks is made up of a single large room that was once used as a dormitory for the soldiers; the 40 hooks embedded into the walls corrispond to the lockers and beds for 40 soldiers. With the changes of the working capacity of the Fort, the store rooms in the south building of the barracks were adapted to accomodate even more men.
